My Activity

Reviewed Mom's Homemade Granola

"Ooo wee, this recipe makes some delicious granola! It's also very inexpensive and you can customize it and make it fancy, or organic. Reviewed Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel Cookies

"I was really excited about these. They are adorable and look delicious. I read all the reviews and watched the video before I made them. They are fairly unremarkable. They turned out soft and sort of buttery, but the flavors are sort of muted. I added dutch cocoa and used semi-sweet instead of unsweetened chocolate. I used a tbsp of peppermint extract and pulverised the candy canes. There is a lot of chilling and rolling an cutting for the cookies to only come out pretty tasty. I was disappointed. I used store-brand butter and I don't have a cool stand-up mixer. They did turn out quite moist- like a good sugar cookie, but overall, not as unique and tasty as I would like.

Reviewed Spicy Baked Chickpeas

"Mine didn't crisp at all. I read the reviews and baked them in a 400 degree oven first. Then I gave them 10 extra minutes in the oven. Then another ten! Then I left them OVERNIGHT in the hot oven, thinking they would dry out. They didn't all all. I was disappointed as this sounds like a fairly healthy snackfood I would have made often. Still reading other people's comments to see how they did it right.
