My Activity

Reviewed Beef Stroganoff

"This recipe was very good. I used boneless ribeye and seasoned it with onion soup mix as someone else suggested. After I cooked the steak I deglazed the pan with a little chianti and also added a little of it to the pan once I had the steak, onions, and mushrooms in it before I added the broth. It was awesome!!"

Reviewed Cheesy Chile Rice

"This recipe was pretty good. I don't see how it is possible that this fed a family of five, unless of course you are talking about an Ethiopian family. I only have my husband, daughter, and myself and we ate nearly all of it. Typically we are all pretty lite eaters. I did add a cup of cooked chicken. I think I would have liked it better vegetarian. Also I suggest increasing the amount of sour cream and green chiles.

Reviewed Spinach and Artichoke Dip

"I loved this recipe! I am not a big fan of brie so I substituted cream cheese. It was absolutely amazing! I would recommend pieces of french bread for dipping, as it made the dip taste more flavorful. The chips were too salty in my opinion.

Reviewed Mac & Cheese

"I have been trying out different mac and cheese recipes for a couple of years. This is the best tasting one that I have found so far. Like others mentioned, the gruyere was pretty pricey (about $11 for the amt the recipe calls for.) I personally love the taste of extra-sharp cheddar and I think next time I will increase the cheddar and decrease the gruyere. I really liked the tomatoes on top, too. My husband even liked this recipe, and he usually doesn't like mac and cheese.

Reviewed Chicken Quesadilla Pinwheels

"This was a nice spin on a traditional quesadilla. I used el pato salsa con jalapeno, it was thinner and easier to spread. My husband and daughter loved them. They were so easy, too!

Reviewed Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

"The flavor of this soup was probably a 4 star rating. However I have to give it a 3 because after using an immersion blender to mix the ingredients, the peels of the tomatoes remained. It made the soup rather unpleasant to eat. I would recommend buying a large can of peeled whole tomatoes as a substitute.
