Perfect! The KEY is to put the precooked fries in the bottom of the deep fryer. That keeps the fish elevated so that the batter doesn't stick to the deep fryer basket (trust me - first two pieces of fish I did without the fries underneath, and the fish batter got stuck to the basket and then the fish partly fell apart -- but were still delicious)"
