Reviewed Ricotta-Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Nov 24, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

AMAZEBALLS!!! These were delish. Made these for my early Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone (including the children) loved them. I made 25 dates with thick-cut bacon & 7 more with thick turkey bacon. Great both ways. FYI: Medjool dates were a little harder to find (Stop & Shop carries them though)

Reviewed Grilled Turkey Sliders with Tomato Jam

These burgers were very nice. Had to use 85/15 lean ground turkey (everything else was sold out for Labor Day wkend) but they came out okay, just a little dry. We melted cheese on each burger so that helped. The superstar was the tomato jam. Soooooooo goood. People were eating it as a side on their plate. Super yummy!

I really enjoyed this! Very simple. I paired it with brown rice and edamame beans. My little one was not happy with it at all (not a fish/capers fan). I will definitely make this again. Palette training takes time. :)

Reviewed Grilled Tilapia with Peach BBQ Sauce

I thought that this was better than okay but not great. Might make again. I think that there was too much oil, but what did I expect from Paula Deen.

Note: I pureed 4 peaches by adding them to boiling water for 3 mins. Then I blanched them in an ice bath and peeled the skin (slides right off). Finished by putting the "naked"...

Reviewed Beer-Braised Pot Roast and Vegetables with Polenta

Soo good! I made this using 2.5 lbs beef chuck STEAKS (not a roast..didn't pre read the recipe properly. Roasted it for the full 3 hours. So tender that it fell apart as I lifted the meat out of the pot. Also, I used Blue Moon beer (makes sense to use what you drink and turkey bacon. I agree that the bacon was not necessary, at all. Reviewed Salmon with Brown Sugar and Mustard Glaze

We really enjoyed this. I grilled the salmon on my George Foreman grill (yes, old school!). Then just drizzled the sauce on it once plated. Delicious!!
A repeat, for sure."

Reviewed Baby Lamb Chops with Madeira Sauce

Yummy! Even my young DD loved this! I used Ruby Port instead of Madeira wine (wanted something that we actually drink). I also seasoned the chops with S&P before dipping them in the seasoned flour mixture. I really think that it helped to give it a nice flavor. I will definitely make this again....and again! :) "
