Reviewed naan: indian oven-baked flat bread

Sep 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is phenomenal. I've made naan a few times and this is by far the best method. It was so easy, even my 2-year old helped me! My husband was cursing me for making this because it was so good he said he couldn't stop eating!!! The naan was supposed to complement the meal, instead it ended up far outshining what I had made!

I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this. I've made this easily a dozen times for all kinds of events and holidays, and just because. My family LOVES it. I, too, have varied the toppings from parmesan cheese to dried herbs to sun-dried tomatoes to roasted garlic. This recipe is PERFECTION.

Let me preface with a disclaimer: I love Jamie. He's one of my favorite people of all-time (not that I've ever met him), but I have such immense respect for his mission to bring healthier eating to people's homes. However, my opinion of him does not bias this review of these muffins: they are AMAZING! I have a 15-month old little boy and he loves...

Reviewed Pizza Dough

Oct 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

As someone who was slightly intimidated at the thought of making her own pizza dough, I can say confidently that anyone can make this! It's a fabulous recipe and comes out perfectly every time. Since I've made this quite a bit in the past few months, I've just started trying different things - I can say that the all-purpose flour does seem to work...

Reviewed Pot Roast with Vegetables

Aug 17, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My overall opinion in terms of flavor is that this pot roast was great. However, much like the other reviewers, I found that 3 hours of cooking time was WAY too short. I was excited at the possibility of bringing a pot roast from the store to the table in about 3 1/2 hours due to the crazy day I was having. Unfortunately, 3 1/2 hours after gett"

Reviewed Chocolate Chip and Mascarpone Cupcakes

Aug 17, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is my go-to chocolate cupcake recipe. I've served it at parties and received rave reviews. I never change a thing about the cupcakes themselves, however, I do make a basic cream cheese icing instead of the fudge ganache. I do need to try the ganache one of these days, though, I bet it's delicious! But I can attest to the fact that these c"

Feb 20, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Oh, how I love Tyler. I had never brined my chicken before, but I probably always will from now on since it made such a huge difference in how moist the finished product was! I used bone-in chicken breasts and allowed them to sit in the brine for a few hours. I loved the method of cooking these by splitting the time between a grill pan and the "

Reviewed Emeril's Creole Seasoning (Essence

Feb 20, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made cajun chicken using bone-in chicken breasts with this seasoning. AMAZING!!! What I did was rubbed the seasoning both on top and underneath the skin of the chicken, then grilled for about 5 minutes on each side. I finished cooking the chicken in the oven for about 30 more minutes. This is the best seasoning ever!!!!"

Reviewed Baked Meatballs

Feb 20, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

As an Italian girl that's used to preparing meatballs with ground veal, ground pork, and ground beef, then frying them up and allowing them to simmer in sauce all day, I found myself needing to make meatballs mid-week to add to a quick pasta dish. Cue Alton's baked meatballs recipe! I had never cooked meatballs this way and was very apprehensive"

Reviewed Butternut Squash Coleslaw with Honey Goat Cheese Dressing

Nov 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I actually signed up JUST to review this recipe - this was AMAZING!!! It's so easy, quick to make, and the goat cheese was an awesome base for the dressing. I have a mandoline, but have never used it (and am quite intimidated by it), so I actually used the largest setting on my cheese grater, essentially shredding the squash and it came out perf"
