Printed Recipe Baked Pork Chops by Mom of Five
About Me
Oldest of five, began helping Mom in the kitchen and shopping for her about age 7. By the time I was 12 parents would leave me tending to Sunday Dinner for company while they went off to Church. Polish Grandmother was a great cook, my Dad cooked too. In 1963 became Julia Child fan, was resident chef for my Bachelor buddies until marriage in 1966....stay at home wife not into cooking. Although basically a "hobby" Chef I also cooked for large groups at Kiwanis and other events...enjoyed trying new recipes for entertaining guests: Preparing two new Entrees at a time in case one didn't turn out right IMO!
Favorite Foods
Polish & Bohemian dishes I grew up with in Chicago....Eastern European cooking in general, which also had a distinct French influence....lots of Soups and Stews. Some of my favorite "company" recipes have been Scandanavian dishes found in the 33 volume Time-Life Cookbook series.Advertisement
