About Me

My husband and I live/love to cook.
We have tackled many interesting foods and recipes over the years. I especially like to "dress" the foods we serve. I made many different garnishing tools and "how to" books on the subject. We are originally from NYC have had the opportunity to dine in some of the most fabulous restaurants in the world and are very lucky to have done so.
One of my favorite dishes to make is Paella.
We just received a holiday gift of a Tergine and we are excited to try it out.
This year we have challenged each other to prepare one new receipe each month for one another. It can be one item to an entire meal. I am planning to start with a receipe
from a vegtable cookbook which involves a
terrine of carrots, peas and spinach. The look of the finished product is amazing!
I don't know what my husband has in mind but he has the entire month to think about it.
Happy cooking!
Wendy

Favorite Foods

Besides the good ole basics like mac-n-cheese, juicy rare hamburgers and shrimp cocktail I also love escargo, lamb ribs,
chicken cordon "Red" (my version of the classic cordon blue made with sundried tomatoe pesto and mozzarella cheese),
duck, escarole and anything in a cream sauce.
