My Activity

Reviewed Mac and Cheese

"This nutmeg in this recipe was very over powering and made the dish more sweet rather than savory. I'm a lover of all cheeses, especially the stinky ones, so I just knew this would be a hit! I was very wrong. The mac and cheese completely lacked flavor. I had to throw this out. ALSO FYI PEOPLE DO NOT FOLLOW THE RECIPE ON THIS SITE, IT IS NOT THE S"

Reviewed Penne with Shrimp and Herbed Cream Sauce

"I had a very difficult tie accepting that this recipe was a miss because I tend to love Giada. The sauce lacked a lot of flavor. It was very bland, but my boyfriend was sweet and ate it anyway. I tried to even doctor up the leftovers, but there was so saving this dish. "

Reviewed Roasted Tomato Penne alla Vodka

"This was absolutely fantastic! I made this dish for my boyfriend, his mom, and his friends for game day dinner. The house filled with a wonderful smell when I roasted the tomatoes. I did peel the skin from the tomatoes after they roasted because I hate bits of it in my sauce. But that's an unnecessary step for those who don't mind. This was extrem"

Reviewed Hot Chocolate

"Just made this last night for my sister because I was demonstrating to her that homemade is always better than store bought. I thought the taste was ok, but the texture was off putting and very grainy. Next time instead of cocoa powder, I'll use real bakers's chocolate."

Reviewed Asian Grilled Salmon

"I hope that Ina realizes this recipe is NOT Asian just because there is soy sauce. While preparing the dish was easy because of the few ingredients, they did not go well together at all. In fact the combination actually made me a bit nauseous. Miso paste, ginger, sake, soy, sesame oil..those ingredients would make a great ASIAN marinade. EVOO and "

Reviewed Macaroni and Cheese

"I decided to bake the mac and cheese after making the sauce and incoroprating the noodles because that is how the dish is traditionally made. I was severely dissapointed to find that the mac and cheese was extremely dense and dry. There was not enough sauce at all. Also, the taste was very plain, even though I thoroughly seasoned the sauce. Will n"

Reviewed Mini Turkey Meatballs

"It is very easy for turkey meatballs to be dry, but these are so incredibly tender. My father is a "meat and potatoes" kind of man and would rather have ground beef than ground turkey. When I made these for him, he didn't even realize that I used ground turkey! And don't get me started on the tomato sauce. Easy, flavorful, and just plain delicious!"
