I finally found a great start to good chili!!! Watched the video over and over and read VioletScope's rendition of the process. Well here's what I came up with:

I've made this a number of times with some modifications of course. My daughter claimed from day one that this recipe is a food truck winner! Its' easy to make and the gravy is exceptional but after you remove the grease!! Thanks for the basics because I have a winner!!"

Sauce was good but for our family, it needed something. It thickened up like in the video but overall lacked, again, something.
On the other hand the meatball recipe was excellent and the family suggested they be added to our "Mama Ida's" sauce recipe.
I'm always up for something new but sometimes the old tried and true maybe...

Started the dough last night and placed it in the refrigerator and this morning took it out to rest and warm a bit. Prepped the caramel, this tastes great by the way, then rolled the dough in the butter and sugar/cinnamon. Let it raise an hour and right now its in the oven and waiting!!!

First time with this recipe and stuck to the directions pretty close. Added some baby potatoes, turkey from Thanksgiving and a yellow onion. Turned out great!!!

Next time my own pie crust, more potatoes, and will try chicken.
