My Activity

Reviewed Grilled Sea Bass with Jalapeno-Mango Salsa

"Salsa is very delicious. Better on cod and halibut. I do not understand why anyone eats sea bass. It has to be the most tasteless fish on Earth, akin to eating tripe. Why any chef prepares or serves sea bass is beyond me."

Reviewed Cannellini Bean Soup with Kale and Garlic-Olive Oil Crostini

"Very delicious soup and great for a vegetarian. Loved the taste & textures of combining kale and cannellini beans. I felt adding 2 tbls of raw honey was perfect in cutting the acid of the red wine vinegar and savory flavor or the garilc. Would most definitely make this soup again! "

Reviewed Red Wine Beef Stew with Potatoes and Green Beans

"The broth is silky-smooth, The flavors delicious, I have made this twice now, And have noticed that if you add about 2 tbls of honey, and about another 1/2 stick of butter that it adds a smoothness and a sweet tone to help merry out the flavors. I also add 1 clove of garlic with the onions minced and put the green beans in at the same time you do "

Reviewed Asparagus Spears with Sesame

"A perfect balance of ingredients makes this a great accompaniment to any Asian themed dish. I prepared this with as a side to my teriyaki salmon. I substituted honey for the sugar, as I think it goes better with Asian flavors and added a little red pepper flake to add a touch of spice to counterbalance the sweet honey. I marinated the asparagus in the sauce and roasted in the oven with the salmon. Awesome....!!!!!"

Reviewed Dad's Meatloaf with Tomato Relish

"Very flavorful meatloaf! The consistency and moistness were excellent. If I were to redo this recipe, I would add 4 slices of bread rather than 3. The Relish was extraordinary. The bay leaf, garlic and fresh red bell peppers and parsley made a delicious sauce. I would make about 1 and 1/2 the relish neat time. It is excellent for topping mashed potatoes!!! Very comforting and delicious dish!
