Reviewed 3 Minute Chocolate "Cup" Cake

May 9, 2012 in Recipes on Cooking Channel

SO GOOD! I've made these 'cup'cakes several times. It is fun to make them with the kids and very easy. This made 5 perfect sized treats for us in med/large coffee cups. Definitely worth a try."

Wow, this was really good. The aioli was great and I'll definitely use it on other things too! Worth a try! Thank you."

This was really good!

I would make the sauce thicker next time, it was too watery. I'll decrease the amount of broth and maybe add tomato paste as well to make it a bit thicker to stick to the chicken.

Thank you!""

Reviewed Jammin' Salmon Burgers

We loved these burgers!

A few minor changes that I made were that I added some garlic and also lemon juice along with the lemon zest. I also used fresh salmon and not canned, so I increased the panko to 1 cup because of the extra moisture. I also patted some panko breadcrumbs on the outside of the burger for a bit of crunch...

Very good, even better the next, which stuff like this usually is! When all the flavors 'come' together.

This was my first time makeing soupd from scratch. I don't think I'll go back to canned.

I added eggplant because I had it and then opted to roast the eggplant and zucchini in the oven, then add to everything...

Very good, but definitely way too salty.

The first time I made this I went just as the recipe calls for. The next time I only used 1 tsp of salt, still too salty. I think with the soy sauce in the dressing a pinch of salt would work and maybe too much. Next time I am omitting the salt from the dressing and just using it with...

Yummy! This was so good! I really love Chef Anne's recipes. They are always a hit. The green onions added on top was great -that was perfect. You might have to get the timing right so you don't get scrambled eggs - but don't worry, give a few tries, even if it's not quite creamy the first time, it's still good! Good luck."

Reviewed Red Cabbage Slaw

Mar 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Really good, but way too much malt vinegar and I took the advice of other reviews and drained almost all of it out before adding in the mayo and other ingredients. Still had a very strong vinegar flavor, but still was good. Next time I will use less vinegar to let the cabbage and carrots to soak in first, then I think it will cut back the vinegar...

Reviewed Tartar Sauce

Mar 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very good tasting - but holy cow did it make a lot. Way too much for the amount of fish you will be frying, so unless you want to save some, I'll cut it in half next time. I could not find whole grain mustard, so used stone ground instead. I will use this again."

Reviewed Fish and Chips

Very good! The batter fried up so nicely and crunchy. We used Heineken, which I did not like so much, but my husband did. I think I'll try a pale ale next time. The batter was just right for 2lbs of fish. It is a bit thick and puts on a good layer to the fish - but I liked that. Others may want to thin it out a bit. The fries were good, but...

Yummy! We made these last night and they were very good and simple to make. Love the combination of the blueberries and the lemon. I did not use 'ready made pie crust' but used Pillsbury ready sheets of dough - which is just a bit 'doughy' compared to pie crust, but was so good. Try it!"

Awesome! Yes, ingredients are hard to find, I searched a lot of local ethnic grocery stores, but could only find guava paste and a guava jelly. I did order online through a eBay store and then found a Cuban grocery store in Chicago. Did also read, you can heat/cook guava paste and add water, which will make you a marmalade.
