"This dish is wonderful. I served this to mother in law for mothers day and she LOVED it! I hear about it every time she comes to visit, so I'm making this for her as a side dish for Thanksgiving tomorrow. As far as the fennel, it's a very subtle taste in this dish...that thing that makes you go hmmm...

Reviewed Bourbon Pecan Pie: aka Douglas' Dark Rum Pecan Pie

"Very nice pecan pie. Not too sweet and barely even notice the bourbon. I baked it at 375 for 10 minutes and then 350 for 45 minutes...perfect! Way better than any pecan pie I've ever tasted before. Don't forget to wrap the crust with aluminum foil so you get the perfect crust color...
