By the way, canning tongs work great for getting the ramekins out of the hot water."

Thank you. I was looking for a coddled egg recipe that I could use with ramekins since I do not have the fancy-shmancy egg coddlers. I set my oven to 350 F and cooked my single egg for 14 and a half minutes. Just finished eating my coddled egg with toast, bacon, and a cup of Darjeeling. Perfect."

This marmalade is delicious and is easier to prepare than most marmalade recipes. The first time I made this, it wouldn't set and I had to add pectin. I made another batch today, and it set just fine without additional pectin, but I made this major alteration:
After juicing the lemon, I cut it up and put it and it's seeds in cheesecloth...

I used moro oranges and the jam was very delicious. I liked how easy the preparation was in comparison to some other marmalade recipes which all seem to require that you peel the oranges, juice them, and remove the pith. I'm only giving it 3 stars, however because the jam did not set and I had to add pectin. I happened to have 1/2 box of powder"

Jul 6, 2012 in on Food.com

Just had the boranie bademjan for lunch with lavash, Persian cucumber and tomato salad, and a bit of Bulgarian feta. It was delicious.
I roasted the eggplants in a convection oven at 330 degrees for 34 minutes. The flesh was cooked perfectly at the largest part, but the flesh of the narrow part seemed a little tough to me. My eggplants w...

This works well, but you may need much less water, so add the water in small increments and don't expect to use more than one cup. I have made the recipe once with two cups, and it was very sticky. I general use just one cup, or slightly less than one cup of water. Sometimes I don't have the Kool-aid and it still turns out great."
