Reviewed Swedish Pancakes

"I love these, although we refer to them as Crepes, or Blintzes. My mom made these alot when we were growing up, we used to fill them with small curd cottage cheese and jelly (your choice)rolled up and topped with sour cream. YUMMMMM! My kids love them also, and make them for their family since they have grown up and love to cook."

Reviewed Neely's Berry Shortcake

"Sounds great! I really enjoy the Neelys' show. There's one thing I'm not sure about though, because I'm not much of a Baker. I'm more of a Cook. Anyway, when a recipe calls for "Heavy Cream", what exactly do they mean? Is it Half and Half like you use in coffee, or what?

Thanks...... "

About Me

I'm an old Polish Grandma who moved out to Huntley from Chicago to be closer to my three grand kids who live in Crystal Lake IL.  They are a constant source of joy for me.

I have twin grandsons that are 13, and their "little" sister who is 11.  I say "little" jokingly, because even though she is the youngest, she is the tallest and looks older than rhe boys who were premature and very tiny when they were born, so they are still small for their age.

I like to cook, and both of my Sons like to cook also.  They call me quite often for recipes I made when they were growing up.  I think my two grandsons will be the same.  They also like to help me cook when they are over.

I guess that's about all.

Favorite Foods

My favorite dish to cook is Swedish Stew.  I did have it posted on this site, but somehow, it has disappeared!  I don't know HOW , or WHY.
