Not sure what is wrong but this has hardly any flavor. I guess its ok as cauliflower in cheese sauce but not as a mac and cheese substitute. Maybe I will try Velveeta? IDK?

Really good flavor. I did alter it but not much. I added 1 small bay leaf in with the first batch of peas (I doubled the recipe) and used a little more than half of the broth called for (for a thicker soup) and added some chopped leftover ham at the end. I would also add the peas all at the same time next time as others suggested. All in all a win"

This was a good recipe. The only thing I did different was use half turnips in the mashed potatoes. Kids can't tell and its more vitamins and less starch. YUMMY! Its our absolute favorite!"
