Great cookies for Christmas if you use red raspberry preserves. The red and white is very festive and in a bag with powdered sugar they look nestled in snow. Always a hit, easy to make, go easy on the preserves because a little goes a long way and they will split open which doesn't hurt the taste but makes them a little messy.

Ok, I used the recipe on a cut up chicken with skin on instead of a whole bird and it turned out AMAZING. My husband loved, loved, loved it and I accompanied with with acorn squash and roasted tri color potatoes. Substituted red onion for Spanish onion and added a good amount of salt and pepper. Easy, must try!
