My Activity

Reviewed The Lady and Sons Cheese Biscuits

"Really disappointed. Like another reviewer said, the batter is way thinner than what I saw when Paula made these on the show. Even though I added about 25% biscuit mix than the recipe called for and kept the amount of other ingredients the same, the batter was very thin and I ended up with cheese pancakes."

Reviewed Winter Vegetable Soup

"Has potential, but very bland. I saw Trisha prepare this on her show and it sounded so good, I made it the same day. On the show, she mentioned that it is good all the time, but also that her mother would make it for her when she wasn't feeling well as a child. I definitely can see it being good in that situation when someone wants something bl"

Reviewed Easy Blueberry Skillet Cake

"This is a great cake. I used frozen blueberries and transferred the brown sugar/butter mixture to a cake pan after melting because I don't have a 9" ovenproof skillet. It worked just fine. The cake is easy to prepare, cooks fairly quickly and tastes delicious. My whole family loved it!""

Reviewed Holiday Sticky Buns

"I have tried lots of Ina's recipes and loved every one, but this missed the mark. Like some others mentioned, mine turned into a burnt gooey mess that I threw away once I got them unstuck from the muffin tin. I checked a couple times while baking and they were doing OK, then turned to black really fast. I baked at least half dozen other recipes""

Reviewed Butternut Squash and Pear Soup

"The flavor of this soup is excellent, plus it is quick and easy to make. I used precut squash from the produce section to save some time and omitted the cream to save some calories. We did not miss the cream at all, the soup is good enough on it's own. One thing I would change next time is to use less broth as the soup was a little thin (maybe ""

Reviewed Apple Brown Butter Tart

"The taste of this is fairly good and I would say it is easy rather than intermediate. I did change the recipe to make only enough filling for one tart, as I don't think I'd want to make another within just a few days. Not sure of the rationale for having 2/3 of the recipe make one tart and the other 1/3 make two.""

Reviewed Pecan Caramels ("Glorias"

"These are OK, but not worth the time. Better tasting candy can be made with the same amount of effort. Also, with this recipe stating it makes 10, those are huge --one will last all week as a sugar treat."
