My Activity

Reviewed Asparagus Bundles

"I used center cut bacon to try and get the meatest bacon but it still was not crispy. Amazing flavor of sweet asparagus and the bacon was good even though not crispy. I did spread the bacon out in a single layer over the asparagus so it could cook evenly. Next time I may try pre cooking the bacon so it might crisp up a bit."

Reviewed Grilled Lamb Chops

"Had a hard time with chopping the rosemary in the little chopper but worth the effort. Never had a lamb chop when my husband surprised me and man is this a good recipe. I will use this recipe on steak and have already made another batch and marinating chicken for tomorrow, thanks Giada."

Reviewed Southwestern Chili Con Carne

"Read the reviews first so i used 2lb of ground chuck and added a can of chicken broth. The chicken broth made it soupy but the spices over power the dish. I only used 2TBSP of cumin and 3.5 tablespoons of chili powder. The chili powder over powers the dish. Have not added cilantro and sour cream yet but hopefully it will mellow out strong chil"

Reviewed Parker's Fish and Chips

"Super simple and simply delicious. First time I made a batter as I live on a low carb diet but the batter goes so far that even I do not feel guilty. Light and perfect my husband loves this batter. Made mushrooms the same way and they are to die for. Grease gets dirty fast and had to use two different pans of grease but well worth every penny."

Reviewed Onion and Pepper Smothered Round Steak

"Way to much salt-read the reviews but thought the extra salt might be needed to sweat the veggies. Unfortunate none of the reviews I read failed to indicate the recipe neglects to incorporate the addition of flour. As I was cooking I noted that the flour was still on the counter and not added to recipe. I made a roux at that point which did not thicken sauce so I made another roux and added to recipe for the final thickener. Worked and the flavor was incredible. after an hour of cooking and two additions of roux the flavor was awesome with the exception of to much salt, maybe another error in posting this recipe. Disappointed that the recipe has ot been corrected. Added freshly grated cheese and served over noodles-family loved.
