"Admittedly not _greatly_ experienced in baking either flan nor numerous cakes under my belt, so... First time I made it, I was confused in that the directions said to let cool for an hour but then Chef's Notes said she preferred to serve warm rather than the traditional chilled, so 20 minutes after removing from oven I flipped it over, and it was a gooey mess. Still tasted good, though! 2nd time I made it I followed instructions precisely, ignoring Chef's Notes, and it came out perfectly! Great tasting cake! The cake part is not too sweet, so the cajeta/flan adds a nice creaminess and sweetness.
