Reviewed Kittencal's Fried Cabbage With Bacon

3 hours ago in on Food.com

I so admire your cooking skills! I just made this for the first time. Just enough bacon to give it flavor but not be overpowering. And I';ll tell you what - the brown sugar makes it!

I almost didn';t add the sugar because I was afraid that it would come out sweet. The sugar actually enhances everything!

This soup is wonderful! It';s one of my favorite soups. It has a lot going for it. It';s quick and easy to make; it';s incredibly inexpensive; and reasonably healthy (I cut the butter amount to 4 Tablespoons total and it works well for me) - it comes out to 1 Tablespoon of butter per quart and 2 tablespoons of flour per quart. <...

These came out very nice! I just made them today. My first stuffed peppers. I didn';t rate the recipe because of some of the changes I made. I didn';t want to be one of those people who do their own thing with the recipe and then say how wonderful it was or others who use different/wrong ingredients and then blame the recipe for not ...

I haven';t tried this dressing yet but I bet it would be really good as a slaw dressing! Or for some kind of Asian salad with cucumbers, cabbage, and carrots. Maybe swap out the raspberry vinegar for unseasoned rice wine vinegar.

I';m saving this for later."

Just what I was looking for! I only gave it 4 stars because I didn';t follow the recipe exactly. I changed the sugar. I used 2 Stivia packets in place of the 1 Tablespoon of sugar. And I probably used 1 to 2 teaspoons of Sesame Oil.

The ginger is fantastic in this.

I would only caution that there...

The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because I didn';t follow the directions completely. I dislike it when people rate a recipe with 5 stars only after they';ve tweaked it so much it no longer resembles the original recipe.

I followed the directions for the sauce. The sauce was good. Nice pepper kick. I didn&...

This was a great way to caramelize onions and drive my neighbors crazy with the aroma of cooking onions all day! I stirred it a couple of times during the cooking process.

Best biscuits ever!!! I used the shredding disk on the food processor to shred the frozen butter. Used a sharp knife to cut the biscuits into 9 squares. Worked very well. I also trimmed the sides so the biscuits would rise evenly on all sides."

These are the best pancakes I've ever made. Light and fluffy they rise nice and high. The only change I make is to use a full cup of milk as the batter is very thick.

Also, try using buttermilk. Amazing!!"
