Excellent recipe. I made a slight variation. Instead of including squash chunks, I used more potato and packed the stew into cooked acorn squash halves. I don't know how much that affected the taste of the final product, but I'm loving this dish. Next time I'll probably use a bit more preserved lemon.

Too much vinegar for me! I'm going to try one of the raters' suggestion and top the leftovers with a bit of cheese-- maybe I'll like that better.

This recipe veganized quite well. I used the frozen-defrosted-crumbled tofu substitute for ground meat and vegan Worcestershire sauce and I think it has turned out very well. Next time I';ll use a bit less barbecue sauce, but that';s just a personal preference thing."

I dunno, lemon bars are supposed to be luscious, and these just didn';t offer that luxurious lemon curd experience. In fact, the lemon filling came out rubbery on mine. I followed the recipe to the letter, but maybe I did something wrong..."

This is a flexible recipe. I picked it because I had portobello mushrooms and zucchini that I needed to use, but that wasn';t all, and I ended up throwing in green bell peppers, roasted red bell peppers and lots of fresh herbs instead of dried dill.
