She didn't use a funnel, didn't show cleaning the rims of the jars, checking the jars for chips, etc. but I guess if it is just a recipe and not a canning show, it is "What it is". “Quinoa doesn't have a taste but you are right about texture. If you are not a fan of rice pudding, you wouldn't like this . I also think sometimes heating orange changes the flavor, that might have happened. I haven't tried this yet, but I might give it a whirl. I have an old family recipe for rice pudding, no eggs, we are not an egg eating family....”
“I think it would take some major changes to use rice. A longer cooking time at the first cook, of course. That might make the orange juice not as tasty. When I make my recipe for rice pudding, I start with already almost cooked all the way rice, because it cooks so long in so much liquid. You might just skip this recipe or get the real stuff, quinoa...”

"I had this for the first time the other day and it is like no other mushroom soup I have had. I don't see that anyone has tried to duplicate it yet. It is creamy and slighty pink or orange, so it may have tomato or red pepper (bell) in there. Anyone had it yet, anyone want to venture a guess at how to make it? :?:"
