About Me

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and grew up with many comfort foods. There was always good food in my house, and almost every person in my family (there are 9 of us) takes pride in cooking or baking wonderful foods.

Currently I live in Hillsboro, Oregon, and LOVE the West Coast and its milder weather. Miss the cheese, but don't miss the climate!

Cooking and baking are really a joy for me. I also enjoy a fair share of canning and preserving. With the wonderful variety of fruits and vegetables that grow here, I stock my freezer and shelves!

I LOVE dessert, and try to make it as often as possible. There is so much pleasure to be had from seeing someone else REALLY enjoy what I have created from the kitchen.

To balance out my love for food, I do my fair share of running and hiking!
