New Topic Slow cooker time when cutting recipe in half in Cooking Q & A

"I plan to make a pot roast in my new slow cooker. The recipe calls for a 4 to 5 pound roast with cooking time of 7-8 hours. I plan to to make a roast half that size. Do I cut the cooking time in half as well?"
