"Saw the episode this morning and made the soup tonight, along with the french-onion grilled cheese. The soup takes time, but that is what develops the flavors. Tastes like the homemade tomato bisque at our favorite cafe. The canned tomatoes are quick, but I want to try it this summer when I have some fresh Roma tomatoes to roast. Delicious!""

"This is not a 10-minute grilled cheese, but the time it takes to cook down the onions to just the right consistency, combined with the cheese was just incredible. We used Havarti instead of Gruyere, and 5-grain sourdough bread. Fantastic!""
