Reviewed Penne-Wise Pumpkin Pasta
"I followed this recipe as posted. I could not get the pumpkin sauce to taste good before adding the pasta! After adding several other spices and some honey I got it to be bearable. I have to agree with other reviews that pumpkin with the spices is needed, but it is still lacking so I can't give it more than 1 star.

"This is the second recipe of this chef that has been terrible. Followed recipe but used a 1 1/2 qt pan since I did not have specified pans. Despite using countless paper towels this is nothing short of a greasy nightmare. The greasse on my plate is disgusting. The taste is gross. Are you kidding me? If she actually serves this to guests and they a""
"As with other RR meals this one gets 5 stars. They were a bit runny but I think it was because I mixed the salad part ahead. Next time I will whip that up last minute.
Peanut sauce had just the right amount of heat and flavor. Everyone loved it! The bean sprouts added a wonderful crunch and the chicken... ooh! Very, very tasty! I made this on the grill, marinating the chicken while putting the salad together. Wait for the salad, but I would definately say let the chicken marinate for about 15 min before cooking. Stir them often to get all the seasoning evenly coating the chicken. Easy week night meal!"
"Made this when it aired, kids liked it, went together easy but did take longer than 30 minutes. Was very good!
Reviewed Lobster Pot Pie
"Surprised by the great reviews, I was disappointed.
Followed recipe as stated with 3 differences that should not have affected taste or quality; 1-Pernod, I chose another brand, small bottle, 2-frozen thawed lobster, 3-pillsbury pie crusts.
I did in fact make a 9" pot pie, need to make in a 9” DEEP pie plate. I know why Ina chose to use smaller bowls-you can't get this out of the pie plate with out a large spoon!
Visual: Bland white mess with green peas and crust with a speckling of parsley. This was boring.
Taste: I can say it was good but that is it. Recipe is missing something and too full of onions. I like onions but you are sautéing onions & fennel, then you are adding pearl onions-should be changed to Onion Pot Pie.
Obviously, Ina has done us in by leaving out some key ingredients as this recipe is missing both the visual and taste factors.
Cost: This was an expensive meal for being bland looking and flavor lacking-my cost: $41.26
Ina gets a "D" on this one.

"This was a fast, easy recipe. Don't use fat-free cheese (it does not melt. I would not change a thing. Thanks RR!

Self taught cook as my mother preferred boxed food (which I now have allergies to them) and eating out (that will work). I have some excellent recipes I have develped over the years which I refuse to share until I write my cookbook ;-D
