Reviewed Classic Italian Lasagna

"The lasagna was pretty easy to make but not as flavorful as we hoped it would be. When we think classic lasagna, we think more marinara than bechamel. The bechamel sauce was pretty bland in this recipe. We made the tomato sauce and used 1T butter to balance out the acidity. We used a meatloaf mix of meat that the grocery store sells prepackaged"

Reviewed Fromage Fort

"After the Festival of Cheese and throwing a cheese tasting party, I still had a bunch of extra cheese that I did not know what to do with. This recipe was perfect! I used a gouda, white cheddar, monterrey jack, and a leyden. It is so easy to make. Thank you Alton! This episode of Good Eats was so helpful!"

Reviewed Roasted Red-Pepper Soup

"Easy to make - excellent recipe to use leftover roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes as others mention. I loved the cilantro and pepper jack with the soup. Will definitely make this again."

Reviewed Stuffed Poblanos With Roasted Corn

"I used Trader Joe's frozen roasted corn, a shallot in place of chives, and shredded mexican blend instead of cotija cheese. It was simple to make and a flavorful side dish."

Reviewed Serrano Chile-Rubbed Roast Chicken

"I followed the recipe except I used jalapeno instead of serrano pepper. It smelled amazing in the oven and the chile could be tasted but it wasn't the warm bold flavorful taste I wanted. I used the left over chicken to make chicken nachos. "
