Great recipe! I used 2 Tbs of flour and about 1 cup of chicken broth for the gravy since I didn't have bourbon. The carmalized onions came out perfect in my iron skillet. My husband had seconds.

This is the best apple crisp recipe anywhere. I have tried so many different variations and this recipe is the best by far. My husband had one serving and couldn't resist to eat it all over a weeks time. Had to buy more vanilla Hagen Daus to go with it. So yummy, you will make it over and over again. Love this recipe. Thank you Ina!"

I made this cake for a huge 4th of July lake party and was a huge hit. It is very time consuming, but well worth it.Next time I will make more of the frosting. Also, just from common sense, didn't use the cornmeal. Oh, and this is not easy, you should be an intermediate cook to tackle this recipe."

This is a great recipe. I didn't use the peppers though. I doubled the broth and used leftover spaghetti from the night before. I also wrapped 1 TBS of dry oregano and thyme in cheese cloth. I love the lemon in the soup, really makes it pop with flavor. Thank you!""

Perfect! I watched a video that show how to wrap the rolls since I had never done it before and stacked them on a plate and put in frig prior to cooking as instructed. Don't do that. My roll wraps stuck together tearing some of the wraps. Cook as you use egg wash or you will have sort of a mess. This is a good recipe and will use again."

Sorry to say we did not enjoy this recipe. I am sure this dish is good to someone from the "Old Country", but not our cup of tea. I would compare it to eating a roast with penne pasta, not so much for us. We will stick to a tomato base with pasta.
