Guess I had different expectations than the other reviewers. This tasted nothing like the minestone served in the Italian restaurants or in the homes of my Italian friends. I very seldom have recipe failures but this one bombed big time. I followed instructions. The batter never rose and the whole thing was swimming in butter. I baked it much longer than stated and it stayed the same. I did substitute regular flour with baking powder and salt. My baking powder is new. Not sure what the problem was.
