"I've made this cake 3 times now. First time the cake was too heavy - but I took short cuts on the mixing instructions (didn't cream the butter and sugar as long as the recipe states, didn't alternate ingredients, etc). I followed the recipe to the tee the next time and the cake was perfect, so I guess there's a reason why the mixing instructions"
