Reviewed Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Scallops

"I actually can't believe how good this was. I did this recipe with a pound of 16-20 count shrimp and used turkey bacon instead. I microwaved the bacon for 2 minutes to "pre-cook" it and then wrapped the shrimp. Instead of roasting it, I put it in a saute pan with a little bit of olive oil and cooked in 3 min per side. The bacon was crispy and the "

Reviewed Smoky Beer Burgers with Creamy Mustard Sauce

"This easily makes 6-8 good sized, moist burgers that are flavorful and delicious. I also like some chopped jalapenos on top for some heat.

Since the cheese cubes melt on grills, I'd recommend cooking them on a little bit of alumninum foil with cooking spray so that they're easier to flip. "

Reviewed Real Meatballs and Spaghetti

"I made this recipe with just beef and pork, due to proportions at the grocery store. I'm not a big fan of chunky sauces, so I pureed the sauteed onions and continue on with the recipe as stated. That made it a bit more palatable for me.

I've really got to say, the meatballs were so moist and flavorful. I got 20 good sized balls out of this recip"

Reviewed Linguine with Shrimp Scampi

"I think the recipe as written gets a 4/5. But, with a few additions/alterations, I give it a 5/5.

After the shrimp is cooked on one side, I add about a 1/2 cup of dry white wine and finish cooking the shrimp. I also add a little bit more lemon juice and zest than the recipe calls for so that it's nice, bright and lemony. Lastly, a sprinkling of f"

Reviewed Poblano Pineapple Picante

"I've now made this drink twice and it was fantastic both times. The first time, the poblanos were accidentally frozen before removing the seeds, then removed before serving and it turned out just fine.

The drink was a lot more spicy that I had imagined it would be, but it was still manageable for those who are afraid of the heat.

This is a fun"

Reviewed Chicken in Creamy Tomato Curry: Chicken Tikka Masala

"This is the 3rd Aarti recipes - bombay joes, mango prosciutto pizza and now this one. Although the first two were fantastic, I think this one steals the show.

Although it does take a little bit of time, this recipe was super easy and you can make it way ahead of when you want to eat it. I used a little extra garam masala and a 28 oz can of peeled tomatoes, instead of the fresh ones. It was still awesome. I also didnt use nearly the same amount of cream as she recommends, so if you're looking to cut out some of the calories and fat, that is one easy way. I used a little too much of the seeds from the serrano and it became to spicy, so I diluted with some of the tomato water leftover from the can to cool it down.

I ate it up with Aarti's perfect rice preparation recipe also on foodnetwork and it was great.

I highly recommend trying this one out, because I plan on making it a staple in my routine.

Reviewed Prosecco Gelatin Parfait

"This is a fun elegant twist on dessert. Claire hits the nail on the head on this one. I made these for a dinner party and even though the guests were full from dinner, everyone scarfed this down. I made it with Rose and it was really gorgeous to look at as well.

If I had thought of it, I may add some fresh raspberries or blackberries to it or some fresh mint on top.

But, these are relatively inexpensive and fancy desserts that will impress guests."

Reviewed Thai Red Curry Mac 'n' Cheese

"I rarely comment on recipes that I make from food network, but this one is really amazing. I followed the recipe exactly as it was written. All I could think was that I was eating macaroni and cheese from a gourmet restaurant. The red curry paste I used was not very spicy, so next time I will add some chili powder or red pepper flakes. All in all, it is delicious and a unique take on dinner. I made some ginger and garlic chicken to go with it and it was nice and satisfying together.

My next goal is to make this a little bit healthier, as this is not a light dish at all. Perhaps I'll sub out the heavy cream for all whole milk and do some reduced fat cheese.

I must say, this is one of aarti's best!"
