Reviewed Peanut Butter and Nanner Ice Cream

May 9, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great alternative to high fat ice cream. Made it exactly by the recipe and it was delicious! It was a little hard on my food processor so next time I'll let the bananas thaw slightly...maybe 10 minutes or so. It takes a little bit of time in the processor but the bananas do eventually become creamy. Next time I'll try nutella instead"

Reviewed Tanya's Stovetop Macaroni and Cheese

Mar 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Ok, but definitely not great. I think it was the italian cheese blend that made it bland and gummy instead of creamy. I might try again with a different cheese, perhaps a sharp cheddar. ""

Mar 11, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious! I will definitely use this technique (rinsing and squeezing) from now on. They were really crispy. To those concerned about the salt: I'm ALWAYS mindful of the salt amount given in all food network recipes. It's usually too much for my family. I have learned through cooking experience how much salt to use to suit my own taste; th...

Reviewed Grapevine KY Buttermilk Biscuits

Jan 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great recipe! I have made these three times. I followed the recipe except for using cooking spray instead of the oil. Also, after the first time I stopped preheating the skillet because it made the bottom of the biscuits too crispy and hard before the top had a chance to brown. This is now my go to recipe for homemade biscuits! Yum!""

Yummm! These are delicious! I had only beef on hand so that's what I used. These meatballs were so tender and moist...melt in your mouth good! Baking them in the oven instead of browning them in a pan is so much easier. I will definitely make this again but will double the recipe for the gravy. Great recipe!""

Reviewed Chicken Parmesan

Dec 9, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great recipe! The sauce was quick and very tasty. Will definitely make again!""

Reviewed Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oct 4, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great cookie recipe! I love the malt flavor...something different from the basic chocolate chip cookie. I baked them for exactly nine minutes and every batch was perfect! Will definitely use this recipe again.""

Sep 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Not all that great to me. I like Rachael Ray's "Super Sloppy Joes" recipe much better. This might be okay with a little less soy sauce and ginger. Won't make again.""

Reviewed Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Grilled Plums

Sep 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Great recipe! Very moist and delicious! Actually, I made half of the recipe and used a loaf pan. The only ingredient I did not change was the baking powder. It was done in an hour. Would highly recommend!""

Reviewed Honey White Bread

Aug 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Just made this bread...followed recipe as written. It's very good and I'll definitely make again. Next time I might try bread flour. One minor problem...after I gently brushed the loaves with the egg white they deflated too much so I think I'll skip that step next time. The loaves were smaller than Ina's but still tasted great and had great t...

Good side dish! A little on the bland side so next time I'll add some garlic powder to the panko mixture.""

Reviewed Lord of the Onion Rings

Aug 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Flavor was great!! Did not taste like cereal at all. The only issue I had was getting the breading to stick. Next time I'll flour the onion rings before I place them in the egg, or I might try buttermilk instead of egg. Will definitely make again!""

Reviewed Basil Mayonnaise

Aug 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

After trying many of Ina's recipes I've discovered she ALWAYS over salts for my taste. I usually half the salt or even less. Other than that I love the vast majority of her recipes.""
