My Activity

Reviewed Sloppy Joes with Maui Onion Straws

"This was the best sloppy joe I've ever had. This goes beyond your mama's sloppy joes. The layers of flavor and spice elevate a simple food to something truly special. I made this for my hubby and his friends for a football party and they devoured it! ""

Reviewed Flat Iron Steak with Red Wine Sauce

"This sauce was so luxurious and complimented the steak really well. It's so simple to make but the flavor has a nice complexity to it. This is one of our household faves!

Reviewed Beef Bourguignon

"This was a fantastic dish! It was well worth the amount of effort that needs to go in it, because the house was filled with the most intoxicating scent of this stew. We ate it with the sourdough bread, and loved the rustic feel of this hearty meal. I followed the recipe closely, but skipped the Cognac. I agree with other reviewers that the stew needs more time in the oven or on the stove so that the meat gets nice and tender. This was delicious the following day as well. Great to have on a cold Fall evening, thanks Ina!

Reviewed Easy Lobster Paella

"This was really scrumptious paella! I first browned chorizo sausage instead of kielbasa in my dutch oven, took it out, and used the juices to cook the onions and peppers. I think it gave it a really nice flavor. Also, always fry the rice first in the oil, before adding liquid, so the rice gets flavored and separated. Next time I will not use the entire package of peas, there were entirely way too many peas in this recipe. I also substituted the lobster for shrimp and white wine for the liqueur, making this way more inexpensive. Wonderful and flavorful dish!

Reviewed Caesar Club Sandwich

"This is so yummy, and the dressing is so fresh and delicious! Sometimes when I don't have time, I just substitute the roast chicken for some deli sliced chicken (or turkey, whatever I have on hand), slap on some sundried tomato spread from the jar, some lettuce, bacon and there ya go!

Reviewed Ravioli with Balsamic Brown Butter

"This is definitely a nice subtle dish, which allows you to really taste the ravioli, and the nuts with the parmesan is a nice combo.I followed the directions as written, but next time I might add some basil or parsley to spice it up a little bit.

Reviewed Dragon's Breath Chili

"This was a very tasty and complex chili. The only problem is if you put too much spice, you miss out on the great flavors. I'm Indian, and love insanely spicy food, but found that it was a little too much. So next time, I'll add the heat slowly till I'm satisfied, rather than dumping it all in according to the directions. My husband absolutely loved it though! It was amazing the next day on nachos....so delicious!
