Reviewed Lemon Curd

"Alton, as always, you are my "go-to" guy. I followed the recipe exactly and now I have a pint of delicious lemon curd setting in the fridge. I can't wait to use it for my crepes with fresh berries! Thanks! :)"

About Me

I'm a chef running my own little booth at a local farmers market and I do some catering on the side. When I started working in the culinary field, I never thought that I'd be spending so much time in the kitchen. I thought I would become the ultimate restaurant manager and keep my hands clean, but I was sooo wrong.

As it turns out, I love the kitchen (especially when I'm in charge), but most importantly, I LOVE making people happy. Nothing brings more satisfaction than seeing your customers, friends, and family enjoying and savoring the meals you lovingly prepared for them. Nothing is a bigger ego boost than seeing familiar faces return over and over again to get a little more.

Favorite Foods

I love the simple things... tasty meatballs, pastas, rice n' beans (any kind will do), just about anything that's stewed or braised, and custards. Oh, how I love custards.

Although I admire the talent I see on Food Network and many magazines and tv shows, sometimes I think some folks make things a little more complicated then they need to be. Yay for creativity and adding some personal flair, but don't mess with the classics, well not too much, anyway.
