Reviewed Chocolate Cream Cake

I've had spectacular results, once halving it with a 7" round cake pan, and once with the full recipe. Some of the problems other reviewers had are avoidable:

- don't walk away from from the stove for more than a few seconds
- use the best chocolate available, Valhrona or similar
- "espresso"...

Soups can be good, soups can be easy. This one is both, exceptionally so. I like split pea soup but this is a different animal altogether, much fresher. Good ingredients make a big difference here. When out of homemade stock, I buy broth and simmer it with mirepoix and herbs for a few hours. Also, regular supermarket peas are to be avoided. "
