Reviewed Black Bean Burger Recipe : Ree Drummond : Food Network

Sep 21, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

These are quick and easy to make and hold together very well. So many bean and veggie burgers I make seem to crumble. I will definitely make these again. I do think that they need a bit more spice as they didn't have a lot of flavor, but that is easy to adjust to taste.

Well, this was just delicious. I made it with whole wheat flour and it was light and flavorful. My husband says that I'm working my way out of eating in restaurants. Thank you for the recipe. I will definitely make this again.

I made this today for a picnic at a winery. It was light and full of flavor. It went especially well with the white wines. I will most certainly make it again!

Reviewed Vanilla Extract

Mine has been sitting for 6 months and isn't as dark as store bought vanilla. Does it get darker or is this just different than store bought pure vanilla extract? "

Reviewed Winter Slaw

Sep 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was just delicious. The only suggestion I would make is to only make enough for what you think you will use. I found that the color of the leftovers were less appealing the next day b/c the acidity of the lemon juice 'cooked' the greens and they were an unpleasant color. Of course, it was so good that you probably won't have any leftovers!"

Reviewed 1770 House Meatloaf

Apr 24, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This meatloaf was the best I ever made. Mine is usually dry and crumbly. I found this recipe to be moist and it held together well. I formed it into two smaller loaves and will freeze one. I did decrease the salt and added cornstarch to the sauce as others have suggested. "

Reviewed Salmon and Guacamole Sandwiches

Apr 11, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely delicious and simple. Mine was just a bit too raw, even though I like it rare. It was b/c the fish was so thick, I think. Next time I might add one more minute in the oven. I will definitely make it again and soon!"

Reviewed Rack of Lamb

Mar 31, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious for Easter dinner today. I also baked it about 5 minutes longer and it was still medium rare. Maybe my oven is off. I did add lemon zest to the topping b/c I love the freshness it adds.

Mar 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I liked this recipe, but I agree with the reviewer who said it had plenty of liquid from the tomatoes. Mine was a little soupy. I think I will also skip the stock or at least use less. I love that it is so easy and healthy. "

Reviewed Masa Corn Cakes with Poached Eggs

Sep 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was AWESOME! My husband and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I will do differently next time is make the masa corn cakes a bit thinner. Thank you for the suggestion of serving them with chili. I will do that soon."

This was delicious. I used brown rice, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly (except for the cooking time. The flavor was very good. "

Reviewed Asian Chicken Salad

Jul 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I can't stand reviews that say they love the recipe and then explain how they made it entirely different. That said, I did love the recipe and made some changes. The two changes were that I added a tsp. of peanut butter to the dressing which made it a little creamier. I also put scallions in the salad for a bit of onion flavor and some of the g"

Reviewed Ricotta, Olive and Pine Nut Spread

Apr 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought this was different and good. The only thing that I did differently was to save some of the pine nuts, olives and parsley and roughly chopped it instead of pureeing it completely. I liked having some texture in it. ""

Reviewed Seared Cod with Chive Butter Sauce

Feb 28, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was just delicious. I got rave reviews. I agree about the sauce. That is what differentiated it from other fish dishes. I did find it was too much lemon so I added a pinch of sugar to take away the bite. I'll be making this again soon. ""

Reviewed Butternut Squash Casserole

Oct 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I decided to treat this like twice baked potatoes. I halved the squash and roasted them in the oven. When they were done I scooped out the squash, leaving a little bit inside to maintain the shape of the squash. I prepared the pulp of the squash according to the recipe and then put it back into the squash shell and baked it again. Then, I topp...

This is my favorite granola recipe and I've tried many. I like the fact that it is low in oil. I usually omit the brown sugar b/c I'm trying to cut back on sugar. I switch up the nut/seed mixture each time, but it always turns out well. Thanks Sunny! Love your show!"
