These were a big hit. However, please note that the LARGE mixing bowl should be used for the wet ingredients, not the dry. Also, make sure the Guinness mixture and the melted butter are both at room temperature. Otherwise the butter quickly turns into clumps, and will affect the integrity of the batter.
