Reviewed Roasted Smoky Cauliflower with Limey Yogurt

Oct 26, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I've made this a couple of times and it is so good. The cauliflower is so good on it's own you don't even need the yogurt. This last time I added a couple of peeled, diced sweet potatoes and a squirt of lime juice- GREAT additions.

Reviewed Grilled Fingerling Potato Salad with Feta, Green Beans and Olives

Jun 25, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was great- is there anything better than potatoes? I didn't have fresh oregano and adding dry to the vinaigrette worked fine. I personally didn't need 8 ounces of feta, I used about half of that, and used about half of the dressing. I will use the leftover dressing on another salad or to marinate chicken. Thanks for another awesome recipe Bob"

Dec 6, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

@LolaLondon- I think you may have had to add so much extra spice because you eliminated the oil, and I am assuming added the seeds and spices directly without tempering them in oil first. Allowing the spices to bloom in the hot oil brings out the flavor and the oil acts as a vehicle to coat all the lovely lentils in flavory goodness. A single tbsp"

I loved these red lentils. The cooking time was right on. I used brown mustard seeds and a can of fire-roasted tomatoes in place of fresh. I had lunch with two friends and we ate these with garlic naan, some cucumber yogurt dip and a little salad with olives and tomatoes. I kept eating more and more lentils- I put hot sauce on them after reading p"

This is really good. I was worried because I didn't have whole cardomam pods or whole cloves- I put 3/4 tsp of ground cardomam and 1/2 tsp of ground cloves. I also didn't have garam masala, I just mixed together some nutmeg, turmeric, black pepper and star anise. Tastes great to me! Nigella is a beautiful kitchen goddess, I want to be her."

Jan 23, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I love Giada!!! Made a few changes- I had no limoncello available and I put in a little fruity white wine instead, with citrusy notes and some extra lemon juice. I accidentally added the zest before whisking instead of after, and I thought the custard looked like it should at 140 degrees. I used almond biscotti for the crust.
This is like...

I thought the applesauce I made was completely Delicious. The reason I am putting 3 stars instead of 5 for this recipe is because of mistakes in the recipe. It says the cook time is 30 minutes, but it is at least 50 when you read the recipe. I also used twice the sugar, and about four times the water snd lemon juice. I can't imagine using only 3 ...

First time I have ever made wonton soup and I was pleased with how it turned out. Wish I had had better chicken stock on hand, but oh well. I used green cabbage I already had at home instead of going out to find banboo shoots and bok choy and it was good. My hubby really liked it as well!""

Reviewed Pumpkin Lasagna

Oct 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This lasagna wasn't bad but I didn't think it was worth the cost of all the ingredients and the amount of time it took. I thought it was a clever use for pumpkin. If I made it again I would skip the sausage- this may be better as a cheesy-squashy, vegetarian dish.""

Reviewed Thai Shrimp Curry with Chopped Lettuce and Basil-Lime Couscous

Sep 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I like that this gives you a base of coconut milk and curry paste that you could really add whatever you want to. I just added the lime and basil to the curry, along with some fish sauce. it was very good- at first I thought it smelled a little strange, but the longer it simmered on the stove, the more all the different flavors melded together. Reviewed Sage Rubbed Pork Chops with Warm Apple Slaw

Sep 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I put the pork chops on the grill, and made the slaw in a pan sans chicken broth. I used extra apples because I like them, and as I had no cider vinegar used white vinegar and added some brown sugar. I also added a pinch of nutmeg. It was a great fall dish. My husband did not like the sound of warm slaw, but after he ate it he said, "Make this an...

Made these for dinner tonight- my husband was wary when I said fish tacos, but he loved them and had seconds! The honey I think added a nice sweetness that balanced out the spiciness- it was unexpected and yummy. Glad I used savo...

Once again Nigella, you deliver delicious pasta, even though I substituted slivered almonds for pine nuts and just baked a couple of chicken breasts instead of roasting a whole chicken. Added a big handful of parmesan cheese and couldn't get enough. Comfort food. Can't wait to make it again, hopefully with pine nuts.""

These enchiladas were really good- I was born in Southern California and my mom made Mexican food a lot, so this girl appreciates a good enchilada.
