About Me

I'm a 73 year old woman of Swiss, German and English Canadian descent. I married my second husband just over 12 years ago and have learned to cook low sodium, low cholesterol, low fat and this month I'm learning low carb. My husband has had cancer, heart attack, now hi blood sugar. Poor guy can't eat anything!! So I have made it my life's work to make food that he can safely eat and, since he is also a PICKY EATER, it hasn't been easy. BUT, I will post some of my favorite changed recipes for others who may have some of the same problems.

Favorite Foods

I will not eat anchovies or caviar, but am pretty open to everything else. My husband is the opposite, but little by little I'm introducing him to new foods (to make it easier on me!) that he wouldn't eat before. One of my favorites is asparagus - which he wouldn't touch until my brother grilled some for us when we were visiting.
