"This soup is amazing. It work on days like this one when it just won't stop snowing. I did use chicken stock I had made earlier in the week instead of the broth and used 6 garlic cloves for the extra flavor and it so made a difference. That is why it got 4 stars since I had to ask extra flavor. This will be made again.

"This was amazing. I made it for my husband on his birthday. He loved it!!! Actually his words were this is phenomenal. I did use fresh mushrooms and onions and sauteed them per other reviews. That was the only thing I did different. This is a keeper recipe. The almonds were a must great addition. For people who said it was too many calories and will not make this again. I have a reminder to tell you this is a Paula Deen recipe, be glad there was no butter. The pimientos and sherry and chicken stock made great flavor. Will make again.

"Never been been to Philly, but after this recipe I think I know where I am taking my next vacation. It was amazing. Tried it first without the ketchup and it was ok, Next time tried with ketchup and I am telling you DON'T FORGET THE KETCHUP!! It was amazing. Will be making this again.

"This was so amazing!!! My picky eater daughter ate 2 helpings. My husband called it phenomenal. Pot roast was a little of 4lbs and it took 3 hours to cook, but well worth the time. Smelling it cook made the whole house really hungry. I didn't find it salty at all and I followed the recipe to a T. You only need enough of Paula's seasoning to taste before searing the meat. This pot roast will make it to the cookbook and will be made again.

"I saw Paula make it on her show Paulas home cooking with her brother Bubba on December 20, so I had to make it. It was just as amazing to eat as it was to look at on her show. Good job Paula, you did your mama's dish proud.
