Reviewed Who Loves Ya Baby-Back?

Dec 16, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Didn't really care for the sauce or the rub. It was too salty and not anything like a tasty BBQ flavor. Actually, hated it, even though I usually love Alton's recipes. This one was very disappointing. Not sure why people are raving about it and we didn't change a thing.

I've tried many squash soup recipes and found to be the best, made with kabocha squash instead of butternut. Has a natural sweet taste and cut the honey in half or you really don't need any. Added more fresh ground nutmeg and fresh ginger and tasted great. I would cut back on the pepper to max 1 t.
Too much with 1 1/2 t."

Ok, nothing great and I cook all types of ethnic foods. I thought it would have more flavor but pretty bland for Spanish food and we travel often. "

I am a beet hater but finally, this turned me around. I already love pickled onions so that was a bonus. I found a recipe to make taragon vinegar and it turned out great. It got rid of that moldy dirt taste that beets always have. That's what made me hate them to begin with. Beets are great brain food and help to stop alzheimer's and dementia"

Pretty bland tasting, Had to spice it up to add flavor. This is after using all the ingredients. Sorry, didn't keep track of additional ingredients. Love to cook by taste. We love greek dishes so thought this would really be wonderful. Used only fresh herbs from our garden as well."

Even after adding 2T extra sugar, pretty bland tasting cookie. Won't go on my "Oh my God" cookie list. Definitely not worth going on the 12 days of cookie list.""

I cut the recipe in half. Used only 2T butter and 1/8 C flour, half onion, 1/4 C roasted red peppers, 1 can sliced mushrooms. Omitted wine since I didn't have it. 3/4 C turkey and salt & pepper for taste. Also used my homemade turkey broth 1C and fresh thyme. Came out great.""

Good, but not the best. Have had much better around the globe. Sauce still needs a little kick. Chicken was very tender and that part came out great. Will try to season the sauce more."

Fabulous. I had to change due to what I had, so used button mushrooms, Reisling wine, half n half and bullion broth. Even with all these changes, it came out superb. It's in my Favorite's Folder.
