Reviewed Roasted Tomato Basil Soup

"Very good - the best! If you can relate... you might not want to make soup now b/c it's not cold enough, but your basil is growing out of its pot! This is a great recipe and it freezes well. You might want to go easy on the red pepper flakes if you are serving to children. I too used my immersion blender. I took off the skins of the tomatoes ""

Reviewed Italian Wedding Soup

"The first time I did this recipe I couldn't find chicken sausage so I used mild italian sausage. I later found the chicken sausage and did the recipe again (exactly as written). For us, I preferred the italian sausage vs the chicken sausage. On a second note, after thanksgiving, one meal that I made with the leftover turkey was a revised version of this recipe. I did the same broth & noodle part and omitted the chicken meatballs and added 1.5lbs of cooked shredded turkey. I also had leftover uncooked french green beans, so I omitted the spinach and added the beans (cut 1-1/2 - 2in). Now you have Turkey Noodle Soup! Very good too!!! B/c we are all OD on turkey, I froze it for another night!

Reviewed Smashed Sweet Potatoes

"I've been making my mom's sweet potato casserole for years now. Needed to 'shake things up' this year! I just made it today for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Made it exactly how it's written. The ingredients from this to my mom's is not too different EXCEPT the OJ - wow! The OJ made a difference! Because my husband is a marshmallow freak, I'm going to add them on top tomorrow. Something else from my mom's recipe that you might want to try is adding chopped pecans with the marshmallow toping. We are from New Orleans, so pecans are on the menu! Try this recipe THIS year. It will become your NEW sweet potato casserole!
