Reviewed Hummus For Real

"I have made this three times already, and it is wonderful. Creamier than anything you EVER bought at even a good health food store. I use the 8-9 hour slow cooker method. A few items of IMPORTANCE: (1)On AB's show he mentions that when making the hummus that to measure out a pound of chickpeas, though he SHOULD mention that it is a 1lb AFTER soaking. Basically I divide the peas into two batches after soaking, and make two batches. So I DOUBLE all the above(except peas), then divide by the two batches. (2)Also, instead of water, I use fresh squeezed OJ to make it a little sweeter. (3)Use FRESH lemons, not the bottled stuff! EXCELLENT recipe by AB! 10 star rating."
