Was I supposed to grease the casserole dish prior to putting in the toasted coconut? I did because I worried I would never get this out of the pan but I guess the taste test will tell me if that was correct

When it says to put into sterilized canning jars and seal....you are not waterbathing right? Just pouring into the jars and screwing on the lid and band?
How long will this last in the refrigerator? In the freezer?

I found frying the tortillas first to be a greasy mess...fry until soft but loaded with oil...put onto a platter one on top of another...a gloppy mess of oil.
