Reviewed Banana Cream Pie with Caramel Drizzles and Chocolate Sauce
"I followed the custard for this recipe to detail. I tasted it along the way and...it was still DELICIOUS. The custard itself could have been a dessert. It was for my sister's birthday and she wanted regular pie crust so I used store-bought and ended up getting two pies out of it instead of one. Everyone loved it. I'll definitely make it again. "
About Me
I recently committed myself to baking from scratch for special occasions. My goal is to eliminate cake boxes, cans, and flash-freezed dough. So far, I'm doing alright. This day in age, "back to basics" is an oxymoron when it comes to the kitchen. True appreciation is refined by the details of the original process. Success following an old-fashioned recipe is comparable to reminiscing of days spent in the dark room; where my recollections, like the cultured photographer's- reignite preeminent feelings of achievement. That is what I hope to look back on in years to come!
