Reviewed Mama's Pound Cake
"Taste is superior. I added 1/2 tsp of almond extract too because I like it a lot. I used a hand mixer as I do not have a stand mixer. If you are going to do that, add the flour and milk very slowly so you don't overwhelm your mixer as pound cake batter is thick. This recipe yielded so much batter I could not imagine it fitting into a tube pan ""
Reviewed Middle Eastern Fire-Roasted Eggplant Dip: Babaganoush
"For me it was naked without garlic, and I wouldn't ever advise eating tahina from a can. If you can get the tahina in a glass or plastic jar from your Indian or Middle Eastern grocer, get it - it is far superior in taste. As for the texture, Baba Ghanouj should be smooth like hummus, so running all your ingredients through a processor is a must. ""
Reviewed Wayne's Cranberry Sauce
"THIS WAS SO GOOD. Perfectly sweet and sour, a perfect addition to any Thanksgiving spread. I omitted the nutmeg because I didn't have any, and it was still good. I will make this again for the winter holidays but this time I will toast the walnuts before adding them instead of just boiling them with the mixture. They should be crunchier, IMO. ""
Reviewed Honey Glazed Carrots
"I did not like this recipe because I don't like carrots, but everyone else in my family LOVED them. I tripled the recipe (using 3 lbs of regular sliced carrots), and let them sit on the Keep Warm setting of my Crock Pot while I finished the rest of my Thanksgiving dinner. There were no leftovers.""
