My Activity

Reviewed Authentic Chinese Pork Chow Mein

"Yummy! I;m not even a chow mein fan but this was interesting enough to try and we really liked it. Long cooking the pork was key, plus adding some extra soy, some chili/garlic sauce, and the molasses was such a silver bullet....who would have thought of that? I added bok choy for extra crunch and nutrition and used a lot less pork."

Reviewed Multigrain Whole Wheat Bread

"This bread is so great. I've tried perhaps 50 different bread recipes and none came close. Especially amazing since it's all whole grain and yet stays so moist and has such a nice texture. I use whatever germ, bran, nut I have, and even Chia seeds give it a nice little crunch. Thanks for sharing this."

"We really liked this, even with the improvisations I had to make. Made for two people and I used some precooked chicken breast, cut into small pieces, warmed in butter with fresh garlic and Spike seasoning which contains most of the seasonings (dill, parsley, lemon/orange peel, pepper, herbs). Then added 3/4 cup of chicken broth/white wine and half..."

Reviewed Low Fat Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

"These are really good %u2013 I used chopped dates and walnuts in instead of chocolate chips the first time and that worked well too. They are really soft when first out of the oven and need to cool completely to firm up before you move them around, or else they fall apart easily. I used brown sugar/splenda blend for the brown sugar, regular white..."

Reviewed Salisbury Steak With Mushroom and Onion Gravy

"Added a bit of Montreal Grill Seasoning to the meat with the horseradish. Used beef broth, skim milk and 2 T. low fat cream cheese for the sauce with the dash of Worcestershire and a sprinkle of fresh thyme, and it thickened up nicely and looked and tasted like the real thing without much fat at all. Even with the canned mushrooms I had, this was..."
