"My neigbour made this recipe the first time for christmas when we came over and since than I am regulary making it myself and I have to say: this recipe is wonderful.
The problem is that I am an exchange student and will return in a few months, unfortunately we don't have corn syrup. So today I tried to substitute it with water and sugar, which became a complete disaster. Has anyone else some ideas for a substitute?"
