Great recipe. I did use 2 cups of cooked rice in lieu of the noodles (does that make this not a Boudine?) Anyway it was delicious last night, and even better today. I also left out the almonds and didn';t miss them a bit. I am not generally a leftover eater, but I';m afraid my hubby will have to fight me for the rest."

I made this on Mother';s Day and had my 90 year old Mother-in-law over for dinner. She, myself and husband really enjoyed it. The only thing I did different was not to bread the chicken, I cooked tenders in a little butter and cubed them. I mixed panko bread crumbs with some melted butter and just put it on top of the casserole and baked it....

"This is a recipe I have been making since the 70's and is a real time saver when you need a quick dinner. My DH and his mother, now aged 87, God Bless her, cannot easily tolerate spicy foods, and so this was created to soothe and make tummies feel good.
That said, this recipe can easily be tweaked to spicy for those of us who still love the heat."

Fabulous.. For those of you who end up with a soggy crust, try freezing the crusts, and partially set the jello/cheese mixture. It isn't going to matter what that layer looks like anyway, right?
