I used three different kinds of cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes from my garden, not pickled. Very easy and fresh!

Excellent flavor. I had a huge Walla Walla and it bloomed perfectly without being put in water. I would cut back on the amount of water in the batter and use a deeper pot for frying. Otherwise, very good!

Excellent flavor and very easy to prepare. I made it last year and just picked my home grown blackberries, so I am going to make it again this year.

Fantastic! This will be my third year using this method. I also use Alton's recipe for making my own candied ginger! There is always left over ginger for munching on."

Perfect, as usual, for an Alton recipe. Even better the next day, deep fried. Yummy!
